The investigation, which closed on Monday, determined that the perpetrator used the M75 hand-grenade of Yugoslav production, reads the police statement, adding that the case was registered as causing general danger, while motives and circumstances have remained unexplained.

The explosion went off in the vicinity of a police vehicle parked day and night at this location and disturbed the residents of Tri Solitera neighborhood, Tanjug's correspondent said.

Tri Solitera is one of the city's multiethnic parts, where both Serbs and Albanians live. A Kosovo Albanian, Seljver Haradinaj, was killed there last year.

According to the Kosovo police, this was not the only incident that occurred on Sunday evening in northern Kosovo, since an explosive devise was thrown at an agricultural pharmacy in Leposavic as well. There were no casualties, but the blast caused material damage that has not been assessed yet.
