The municipal presidents of Zvecan, Zubin Potok, Leposavic and Kosovska Mitrovica underlined that the goal of the organized actions is to intimidate Serbs and expel them from multiethnic neighborhoods of north Kosovska Mitrovica.
They said in a joint statement released on Tuesday that the responsibility for Monday's brutal terrorist attack, which left two Serb children injured, and also for all previous armed incidents rests primarily on KFOR and EULEX.
The attacks on Serbs, their property, Christian cemeteries and churches have become frequent, as they put it, since KFOR and EULEX stopped fulfilling their basic obligations that stem from the UN mandate.
This happens because KFOR and EULEX are disregarding the security of citizens and their property, and are mainly focused on the political issues aimed at establishing sovereignty and border of the so-called republic of Kosovo at the Brnjak and Jarinje administrative crossings, they said.
They underlined that for this reason the basic topics in the continuation of the talks and meetings between top officials of Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels should refer to full security and protection of Serbs in the province, organized and sustainable return of over 200,000 displaced Serbs and non-Albanians, international and UN guarantees for realization of Kosovo standards that were defined earlier, and honoring of all human rights and freedoms of citizens in the KiM territory.
