"The provisional authorities in Pristina can refer to the liaison officer as they wish. They can call him an ambassador or representative from outer space," Mrkic told the daily Blic.
"The truth is that just one person will work from the EU offices in Belgrade and will serve as a contact for technical agreements," he explained. According to Mrkic, that contact person cannot have any title other than liaison officer.

Kosovo's Minister Enver Hodzaj said it had been agreed the office to be opened in Belgrade should be called the liaison office of the Republic of Kosovo and that EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton had agreed to that, Koha Ditore reported. Albanian language media from Pristina said earlier Ljuljzim Peci would be the liaison officer in Belgrade. The Serbian government appointed Dejan Pavicevic as its liaison officer in Pristina.
