Community of Kosovo municipalities - minimum
Serbian president's advisor Marko Djuric stated early on Thursday that establishment of the community of Serb municipalities in Kosovo without recognition of Kosovo creates a functional environment in which both sides can achieve a minimum of their interests.

During a programme broadcast by Radio and Television of Serbia, Djuric said that the community of municipalities would entail greater authority within the Autonomous Province of Kosovo.
As an Autonomous Province, Kosovo will be entrusted with greater authority which it is already performing without Serbia's consent, Djuric said and added that by the community of autonomous municipalities would have their own assembly and executive council which would have a tangible influence on the survival of the community and others as well, Djuric said. He underscored that this guarantees the preservation of a constitutional and legal position while making it possible for Pristina to preserve its political and legal fiction in the current status.This would create a functional environment and both sides would satisfy the minimum of their interests without the recognition of Kosovo's independence, he said.
Djuric reiterated that absolute unity was achieved at the meeting of government top officials on Wednesday concerning the continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue which Serbia is approaching with the aim of setting up the community of municipalities.He expressed the expectation that topics directly connected to the potential establishment of the community of Serb municipalities in KiM would be initiated in the continuation of the dialogue.
It was high time to review the potential topics for the continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and achieve an agreement in tangible modalities up to the interpretation of the platform by the Belgrade's negotiating team, the president's advisor said.He noted that Serbia expects to get a positive signal in the continuation of European integration because of the results it achieved in the fight against corruption, and added that it also expects to get the date of beginning of EU accession talks.
