Celebrating the 5th anniversary in the centre of Pristina, children carried the Kosovo, Albanian, U.S. and EU flags, the paper stated, adding that it showed the situation in Kosovo, as it was still only partly sovereign, searching for its identity and very dependent on international support. Ministries have been established, but the administration remains weak and often not serving the people, but foreigners, Der Standard stated. The international character of Kosovo, set down in the Constitution, is still obstructed by ethnically motivated violence, the daily noted. Integrating northern Kosovo, mostly populated by the Serbs, will be a test, as it would define clearly Kosovo's border, the paper said.
