The murder of 14 farmers in the village of Staro Gracko is one of the worst crimes committed against Serbs in the province. No one has been charged for this crime. EULEX spokesperson Irina Gudeljevic told Tanjug on Tuesday a EULEX prosecutor from the Office of the Special Prosecutor of Kosovo is still working on the case. The office is also reviewing recently received information about the case, she noted, adding this is why she could not provide more information. The UNMIK police arrested an Albanian from the village of Veliki Alas, near Lipljan, in October 2007 on suspicion that he took part in the killings in Staro Gracko, but he was released two months later due to a lack of evidence. The victims were Milovan Jovanovic, Jovica and Rade Zivic, Andrija Odalovic, Slobodan, Mile, Novica and Momcilo Janicijevic, Stanimir and Bosko Djekic, Sasa and Ljubisa Cvejic, Nikola Stojanovic and Miodrag Tepsic. A memorial event dedicated to the victims from Staro Gracko and all Serb victims in Kosovo started in the village on July 19.
