Kostunica:Government policy should be changed,not government

“The government reshuffle cannot change the direction of the policy, which means that it would be in vain,” said the DSS leader, former president of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and former Serbian prime minister. Kostunica said in an interview for Belgrade daily news that at the moment early elections is the best and only democratic solution. “I am certain that in the previous elections the Serbian people did not vote for the signing of the Brussels agreements, which have gradually completed the false state of Kosovo, and that they did not vote for Brussels to be more important than Serbia itself,” Kostunica said, stressing that the support to the EU within the family itself is decreasing. “Time will prove that the EU pathway is fatal for Serbia, but it is better to clear that up in the elections as soon as possible,” the DSS president said. He underscored that Serbia should take care primarily about its interests, cooperate with everyone in line with them, and give up on the EU membership, he said. “The EU is destroying Serbia, and we can see that it also destabilizes its members, and the Union itself is facing a serious crisis. For the reason, the sooner we get rid of the policy that there is no life for us without the EU, the better for Serbia,” the DSS leader said. Kostunica said that the DSS will do all it can to make sure that the agreements with Pristina reached in Brussels on April 19 remain a dead letter. “I believe that a great number of Serbs will not take part in the local elections since these are the elections for institutions within the false state of Kosovo,” Kostunica said.
