The workers blocked the magistrate road in the vicinity of a KFOR base where the administrative crossing Jarinje used to stand.Due to the road blockage, traffic is taking place on alternative roads, and only ambulances and vehicles carrying children and sick people are being let through. The workers announced that they will stay there until their demands are met and due bonuses are paid.Milomir Petrovic, member of the protest's organizational committee, said that the workers are requesting from the Serbian government and the Office for Kosovo to pay out due bonuses, harmonize incomes with minimum wages, return displaced persons from Kosovo on the bonus lists and put newly employed on the list for minimum wages so that they could stay and work in Kosovo.“We opted for a 24-hour blockage of the road as we were forced to do that. No one from the government or the Kosovo Office has addressed us regarding our requests,” Perovic said.Momcilo Nedeljkovic, member of the organizational protest from Gracanica, announced blockage of all institutions of the Republic of Serbia in Gracanica.“We request the payment of all due minimum wages. They promised that they will pay out one minimum wage, but this did not happen. Tomorrow we will stage a general strike in Gracanica,” Nedeljkovic said.He said that Kosovo District Head Vladeta Kostic promised that one minimum wage will be paid out these days, and the rest in the next 15 days.“We do not believe these words and therefore around 50 of us from Gracanica are at Jarinje to help our colleagues from Leposavic,” he said.Representatives of the socially-owned companies from Leposavic, Zubin Potok and Strbac blocked the Kosovska Mitrovica-Raska magistrate road for the same reasons last week.
