DSS to stage rally against Kosovo's local elections
The Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) has formed a committee for the defense of Kosovo, which will stage a protest rally against holding Kosovo's local elections, the opposition party said in a release on Wednesday.

The release states that the aim of the committee is to prevent the “seizure of Kosovo,” and the first action will be to conduct a massive campaign against what it calles “anti-state and unconstitutional elections that only serve to round off Kosovo’s independence.” The DSS committee includes academics Matija Beckovic, Milovan Danojlic, Vasilije Krestic Svetomir Arsic Basara and Kosta Cavoski, DSS President Vojislav Kostunica, film director Sinisa Kovacevic and others, and the body will be chaired by DSS Vice President Slobodan Samardzic.
The rally will be organized in Belgrade on September 29.
