The Kosovo police (KPS) said they were searching for one person suspected of throwing a hand grenade near the police station, and noted that the motive for the attack was "still unknown." This attack was condemned in the strongest terms by the minister without portfolio in charge of Kosovo, Aleksandar Vulin, who is on a visit to Leposavic. "This is yet another proof why the international community must not leave Kosovo and Metohija and must not allow the reduction of its role and the role of EULEX since there is obviously no one else to be in charge of the rule of law in Kosovo," Vulin said. He called on the authorities to take it seriously that the climate of violence, which affects everyone living in Kosovo, "cannot be stopped without an energetic reaction by the international community."
