DSS launches campaign against elections in Kosovo
The opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) filed to the Constitutional Court of Serbia the proposition for the assessment of constitutionality and legality of the agreement on telecommunications and energy between Belgrade and Pristina, whereby it launched the campaign against local elections in Kosovo scheduled for November 3.

Upon filing the request, DSS deputy leader Slobodan Samardzic said that the agreements were signed in Brussels on September 13 and that they are the last in a series of agreements whereby Serbia hands over Kosovo to Albanians. He told reporters that by signing the agreements, energy and telecommunication systems were given over to Pristina, which constitutes a violation of the Constitution and laws of Serbia. Samardzic noted that the two agreements were not made public, which is a curious feature, and that they turn effective immediately, and added that the signing of the agreements represents the continuation of the gradual capitulation of the Serbian government. He recalled that DSS also called on the Constitutional Court to issue an assessment of constitutionality and legality of the other agreements signed in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, but the Constitutional Court has not done anything for nearly two years. Samardzic said that the DSS will be conducting an intense campaign against local elections in Kosovo in the course of October, which will include a series of activities in the cities in Serbia and Kosovo. We want to encourage the people, especially those living in four northern KiM municipalities to boycott the shameful elections, Samardzic said. He accused the government that it is using manipulation and intimidation to force Serbs to get registered in the Pristina electoral rolls and vote.
