South Mitrovica Albanians cause new incident in city north

The Kosovo Office expressed hope that the pressures that are increasingly common in recent days will not shake the Serbs in Kosovo, but rather strengthen their determination to vote in the November 3 local elections and elect a leadership of their own that will make sure they can lead a peaceful and secure life in the province. The Serbian government has been doing everything it can to ensure “normalization of lives for all residents of Kosovo, regardless of their nationality or religion,” by leading the negotiations in Brussels, according to the release. The latest incident was also condemned by the Citizens’ Initiative Srpska, which called on the international community and all competent bodies to ensure peace, security and coexistence for all citizens in Kosovo. “We must create a system to protect ourselves from such incidents in the future, and we will be able to do that after the elections, when the community of Serb municipalities is formed,” the Citizens’ Initiative Srpska as said in a release.
