Srpska's sympathizer attacked in Pasjane village

The election board of the Citizen Initiative Srpska has said that Serb returnee Bogdan Petkovic was beaten in the village of Pasjane, southeastern Kosovo, adding that it was part of a string of attacks on Srpska's sympathizers ahead of the second round of the local elections, set for December 1.

"Petkovic, 34, was beaten by a member of the election board of the Independent Liberal Party (which is supported by the government in Pristina) on Sunday night. He suffered injuries to the head and body in the attack, but did not inform anyone immediately afterwards out of fear," the statement says."I fear for the safety of myself and my son. I dare not leave my house. This is awful," Petkovic noted.Srpska condemned this violence towards people who are simply expressing their political opinion.The board says that members and supporters of Srpska are threatened every day in Pasjane and that the situation is becoming alarming.
