Elections in Kosovo "according to 2012 model"

Veljko Odalovic has said that parliamentary elections will be held in the territory of Kosovo "according to the model of previous elections held in May 2012."

The government's secretary general told RTS that an agreement in principle on this issue had been reached in Brussels. Odalovic pointed out that in 2012 in Kosovo, with the assistance of the OSCE, the entire election procedure was conducted in 90 polling stations where more than 35,000 people turned out to vote. Odalovic added that "not a single incident had been reported then." Speaking about preparations for the election, he expressed his hope that the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) "will work smoothly because there is not much political passion and tension," which is why he is convinced that the procedure will be carried out fully in accordance with the law.
