Kosachov : EU document on mission to Kosovo is illegal
The EU document on the legal and financial basis for its rule of law mission to Kosovo is illegal and in contradiction with the UN Security Council resolution 1244, the head of the Russian Duma Foreign Affairs Committee said.

The EU document on the legal and financial basis for its rule of law mission to Kosovo is illegal and in contradiction with the UN Security Council resolution 1244, the head of the Russian Duma Foreign Affairs Committee said.
« Such a decision is illegal and Russia cannot accept it, and so cannot other states which respect the UN Charter", Konstantin Kosachov said.
Kosachov said the EU's decision on Monday was "another, very sad step" on the road towards the independence of Kosovo.
He reiterated that any decisions on the status of the province must be brought by the UN Security Council.
