Ban: Unmik to continue its mandate under 1244
Unmik will continue fulfilling its mandate in Kosovo under UN Security Council resolution 1244, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon said on Friday.

"The UN will continue fulfilling its mandate and authority provided by Resolution 1244", Ban said.
He expressed regrets about recent violence in Kosovo.
"Given that the situation is changing fast in the field, I hope that all sides will continue to have close coordination. This is the first item that will be on the agenda of my discussions with EU and Austrian officials", Ban said in Vienna.
