EP raises interest in Serbian proposal on Kosovo
Deputies of the European Parliament are raising their interest in the details of Serbia’s proposal on substantial autonomy for Kosovo, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic said in Strasbourg, after talking to the heads of EP parliamentary groups and attending the meeting of the EP Working group on Western Balkans.

"The atmosphere towards Serbia is going for the better, and 95 percent of questions of the deputies were linked to Kosovo, that is to the Serbian proposal", Djelic said.
He said European parliamentarians were most interested in Belgrade's views on fiscal and monetary policy, border crossings, armed forces, police and justice in case Kosovo obtains substantial autonomy within Serbia.
"Those were kinds of questions which were not asked only months ago (...) then, we were only being told that Kosovo was to become independent and that we should be prepared for that", Djelic said.
Serbia's Deputy Prime minister also conveyed that several members of the Working group on the Western Balkans said that in the past they were "not aware of Serbia's flexibility".
"This is particularly important since our enemies are trying to portray us as very rigid, which is not the case", Djelic said.
He also said he urged the parliamentarians to present Serbia's views on Kosovo to their own countries and to those capitals "which presidents or prime ministers still want to undermine the talks by prejudging their outcome".
