Loncar left the conference and announced he will send a note of protest to the organisers.
"The Kosovo delegation had been presented as the delegation of the independent state of Kosovo, even though it was earlier announced that it would be referred to as 'UNMIK-Kosovo,'" Loncar said.
Serbia is regularly walking out of conferences in which Kosovo is presented as an independent state.
Meanwhile, in Belgrade, Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said that the policy of any new government on Kosovo will be that of continuity, and that none of its aspects will change.
"We have nothing against the EU's participation in the international civil presence in Kosovo ... but for the engagement to have a corresponding legal frame it is necessary that the Security Council reaches a decision on the issue, since only this body has the mandate to change the composition of the international civil presence regulated by Resolution 1244. We are ready to talk and to cooperate will all interested parties in this process, but in any case, the final outcome would have to be approved by the SC," Jeremic concluded.
He added that Serbia is ready to discuss all details as long as, as he put it, "our clear red lines were not threatened: preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity and corresponding protection of the non-Albanian population in Kosovo".
