"We expect the dialogue that will be accepted by all Albanians and citizens of Serbia to continue," Stefanovic said at the general meeting of the 127th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in the Canadian city of Quebec.

Stefanovic told that he addressed the participants of the IPU Assembly by saying that Serbia is a multi-religious, multiethnic and multicultural country.

In his speech, he stated the example of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, where six official languages are used, and added that only the European Parliament has more official languages.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Stefanovic met with Speaker of the Senate of Canada Noël Kinsella . The two officials pointed out that a large Serb community lives in Canada and qualified as good the cooperation between the two parliaments in the past years.

Stefanovic informed Kinsella about Serbia's efforts to obtain as soon as possible a date for the beginning of EU accession talks and meet all criteria that will allow for that.

Stefanovic asked for the Canadian parliament's assistance in these efforts and agreed with Kinsella that mutual visits should continue.
